Announcing The PHPNW 2011 Conference

Tuesday, May 3, 2011 - 23:54

The PHPNW 2011 conference (aka PHPNW11) information site has just gone live (within the last 4-5 hours) and can be found at

I have attended the last 3 PHPNW conferences and they have all been of a very high standard in virtually every way. The group behind the conference strive to deliver the best PHP based conference in the UK and so the conference in October will probably be the best yet. The venue has changed to the Ramada hotel in Manchester essentially because the conference has outgrown the last venue.

The conference will be split over two days on the 8th and 9th of October with 3 full tracks on the Saturday and 2 tracks on the Sunday. There will also be lots of coffee breaks and there is usually a free bar in the evening of the Saturday.

Blind bird tickets (so called because you buy them before the speakers are announced) will be available soon, but will be in limited supply. The full list of speakers should be released in around June/July, but even the full priced tickets will be less than £100. This is excelent value for such an awesome event.

If you want to get your company to sponsor the event you can pick up a sponsors pack and help support the event.

There will also be a social on the Friday of the night before the conference where you can get to meet some of the attendees and speakers before the event. This is still to be decided, but venues are currently being looked at.

So go along to the site at and follow @phpnw11 on Twitter to keep up to date with news and ticket sales. #! code will also be Tweeting and posting news and information as it is released.
